Now that bağlacı, “…diğine göre, madem (ki)” anlamına gelir. That kelimesi istenirse atılabilir:
Now (that) Tom is married, he has become much more responsible. (Tom evlendiğine göre sorumluluğu çok daha arttı.)
Now the exams are over, I can enjoy myself. (Sınavlar bittiğine göre artık eğlenebilirim.)
Now that the war is over, there is a lot more food in the shops. (Savaş bittiğine göre dükkânlarda çok daha fazla yiyecek olur.)
Now that the kids have left home, we’ve got a lot of extra space. (Çocuklar evden ayrıldığına göre bir sürü fazladan yerimiz oldu.)
